As many of you know, my third book, Cross Encounters – A Decade of Gospel Conversations, has been out for less than a week. There are too many people to thank to name them all in this brief article. However, there are two people I must thank again: Allison Pari and Mike Gaydosh.
Allison, in addition to being my beautiful niece, has edited my last two books: Cross Encounters and Should She Preach. Cross Encounters is a book filled with dialogue, which means a lot of punctuation. Allison not only painstakingly went through every line of the book, but also provided me with great literary advice and plenty of encouragement.
Mike Gaydosh of Solid Ground Christian Books published Cross Encounters. This project was the first time Mike and I worked together. For me, the opportunity was a blessing from start to finish. Mike is passionate about providing solid, biblical content for his readers. So, I was humbled that Mike would want to publish my book. Mike did a great job not only shepherding the publication process, but shepherding me through the publication process. His encouragement and commitment to the book has given me the confidence to say to you the reader, “Here it is! I believe this book will encourage you.
Although the book has been out for less than a week, I’ve already begun to receive feedback. Even though they haven’t yet finished reading the book, some have taken the time to contact me to tell me they’ve already been encouraged. I would like to share some of that feedback with you.
Cross Encounters for Family Worship
Brad Zude (Iowa) writes: “Doing family worship reading Tony Miano’s new book!
“Family worship is sitting with the family 2-3 nights per week reading scripture and teaching them who God is. Dad is the provider, protector, and pastor of our home.
“Deuteronomy 6:7 reads: ‘You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.'”
How humbling it is that my book would be used as part of a husband’s and father’s efforts to shepherd his family! I hope this book will be used as part of men’s Bible studies, women’s Bible studies, youth Bible studies, and any other place Christians gather to study evangelism and apply what they learn.

Just the Front Matter of Cross Encounters
Jackie (California) sent me the following note after she started reading Cross Encounters:
“Tony, your book just came. I have already read the Dedication, Preface and Foreword. WOW! That alone is great! What a blessing that our Lord has given you such a talent to put your heart and soul into words on paper. Along with the book came the catalog for other titles, a sample copy of another book, and a had written ‘thank you’ on my invoice, with a notation of Romans 5:18. The timing was perfect as always. Thank You, Jesus. The next Women’s Bible Study doesn’t start for two weeks which gives me time to devour your book. Thank you, Tony. You are truly an inspiration to me.”
If You Read Cross Encounters
Friends: if you read Cross Encounters – A Decade of Gospel Conversations and you find it to be an edifying time well-spent, would you please consider leaving a review and rating of the book on Amazon (HERE)? I am not asking you to do this to stroke my ego. The better the book’s ranking on Amazon, the better chance there is that more Christians will read the book, with the hope that they will become more evangelistic (if they are not already). I believe if many Christians will take the time to read this book, the result will be a level of personal conviction and edification that will lead to more Christians proclaiming the gospel to their families, friends, neighbors, and to strangers on the street.
Please pray with me to that end. Thank you.
