Recently, the ministry went through a website overhaul. We are still putting all the pieces in place. I am very grateful to Mika Kaltoft of RocaPress for sharing his web design and construction talents with Cross Encounters Ministries. And I highly recommend Mika for your website needs.
One of the pages we have yet to develop is the Cross Encounters Ministries Advisory Board page. We hope to have this important page on the site, very soon.
In the meantime, I would like to introduce not only the ministries Advisory Board, but also my first line of accountability–my pastors.
My Pastors
My wife (Mahria) and I are members of Grace Community Church. As part of our church involvement, we are members of the GraceLife Fellowship, as well as one of the fellowship’s home Bible studies. Mahria and I are involved in the church’s Homebound Ministry, which allows us the honor, privilege, and blessing of ministering to members of our church family who are unable, due to physical constraints, to attend church.
My immediate pastoral supervision places me under the authority of pastors Phil Johnson and Mike Riccardi. These two godly men are important leaders and counselors in my life. In spite of their incredibly large areas of ministry responsibility, which take up an enormous amount of their time (Pastor Phil is the Director of Grace To You; Pastor Mike oversees more than 20 outreach ministries for the church), my pastors are actively engaged in monitoring my ministry, praying for my ministry, meeting with me, and providing both encouragement and correction as warranted. Pastor Phil and Pastor Mike are my immediate shepherds.
Advisory Board
In addition to the ministerial counsel I receive from my pastors, I am also blessed to have a group of men who serve alongside me as an Advisory Board. These men provide me with an additional layer of accountability, encouragement, correction, and counsel. Each of the members of the Advisory Board are men who truly love me as his brother. There is not a “yes man” among them. They are more than advisers. I count each of them among my closest friends.
The following men comprise the current Cross Encounters Ministries Advisory Board:
Pastor Chuck O’Neal, Beaverton Grace Bible Church
Pastor Geoff Kirkland, Christ Fellowship Bible Church of St. Louis
Pastor Steve Cooley, Bethlehem Bible Church
Pastor Mike Reid, Grace Fellowship Church of Davenport
Pastor Paul Kaiser, New Covenant Baptist Church
Evangelist Kevin St. John, Fairview Baptist Church
Deacon Chris Fisher, Cazenovia Village Baptist Church
Tim Schiller (Cross Encounters Ministries Manager)
Richard Story (Former Cross Encounters Ministries Manager)
I am very grateful for the presence of each of these men, in my life. Please pray for them. Pray not only for the ministry they have in my life, but also the primary ministries to which God has called them.
