A couple of months ago I started a new YouTube channel called “Iowa Panfishing.” This new channel focuses on fishing, not for men, but for the scaly ones.
Here’s the most recent video:
I love Fishing
I love fishing. I’ve been doing it for about 45 years.
My dad and I started fishing as I was hitting my teenage years. There was a season of life during that time when the only time it seemed my dad and I could have a friendly conversation was when we had lines in the water. We spent a lot of time with our lines in the water. Sometimes twice a day.
I got older, got married, and got a job as a deputy sheriff. My dad and I rarely went fishing. Before I knew it, my dad was gone.
I took my daughters fishing when they were little, but not often. The memories are good, though.
I took her fishing for the first time last Fall. I’ve got two grandchildren due this Spring. Lord willing, I will be around long enough to take them fishing when they’re ready.
This last year, I started taking members of my church family, young and old, fishing with me. It’s been a joy.
I Really Love Panfishing
Flyfishing, ocean fishing, pier fishing, lakes, streams, ponds. I enjoy all kinds of fishing. But I’m partial to panfishing. For those of you unfamiliar with the term “panfishing,” simply put: panfishing is fishing for fish that will, well, fit in a pan or a skillet. Species that fall into this category include, but are not limited to Bluegill, Crappie, Trout, Perch, etc.
I enjoy panfishing, particularly with ultralight gear, because the fish are often plentiful, they are relatively easy to catch, and panfishing is a great way to introduce people to fishing.
The Iowa Panfishing Channel
I’ve created the Iowa Panfishing channel for two reasons: 1) to share my love for fishing and storytelling; 2) to try to create another stream of income for my family.
And that’s where you come in.
Will You Help Me Build My Channel?
It takes only a couple of minutes to create a YouTube channel. It takes considerably longer for a new channel to start generating revenue, especially if your channel doesn’t include street fights, half-naked women, “Karens,” or puppies and kitty cats.
Before I can even begin to generate income on my channel, I have to build the channel to 1,000 subscribers and amass 4,000 hours of watch time, on my videos. And how’s it going so far? Well, I’ve got 56 subscribers. Yep; I got a long way to go.
With your help, I will get there sooner.
Even if you don’t like fishing, would you please consider subscribing to my channel?
Once you subscribe to the channel, please take the time to watch and “like” (thumbs up) each of the videos. Don’t worry, there are only eight videos so far. Who knows; you might enjoy them. You might even think about taking up fishing.
Thanks, in advance, for your help!

Dear Tony,
I have always held you in high esteem…
Where there is smoke, there is fire…
Tony Miano says
Dear Anonymous,
You wrote, having never spoken to me about your concerns before drawing your erroneous conclusions (see Proverbs 18:13, 17), “Where there is smoke, there is fire.”
You are wrong. Sometimes, where there is smoke there is a smoke machine nearby intended to sinfully and erroneously create the allusion of fire.
And thank you for NOT making a donation. It would be wrong of me to accept a donation from someone with so low an ecclesiology, as articulated in your full comment.
I am not angry with you.
Praying for your repentance.
